Boutique Pilates · Gyrotonic · Buena Park

For your body
& mind.

We’re a small Pilates and Gyrotonic studio in Buena Park. One client at a time, one duet at a time, a small group of up to four at a time. We teach teenagers, working adults, and elders, and we work with posture, mobility, post-rehab recovery, and mindful movement.

Our Method

Two licensed methods,
one focus on your body.

Most studios in the area teach one. We teach both, and every instructor here holds the full license in each. Stott Pilates is the precise, anatomical side of the work. Gyrotonic is the circular, three dimensional side that opens the spine and joints. Yeonhee started One Pilates because she wanted students to move through both.

Both Yeonhee and Jiyeong came to this work through their own recovery from disc injuries — it’s why post-rehab and post-surgical clients sit at the heart of how we teach. We regularly work with members recovering from disc surgery, and we know first hand how careful that first re-engagement with the body needs to be.

Stott Pilates

In a Stott session you feel the work in the small muscles first: deep abdominals waking up, ribs settling, shoulders dropping. It’s a modern, anatomical refinement of classical Pilates, developed by Moira and Lindsay Merrithew. The reason your instructor can place a cue so precisely is the licensing track behind it: weeks of intensives and supervised teaching hours before anyone is allowed to teach a single client. Yeonhee trained in this method first, and it’s still the spine of how she teaches.

Best for

Posture work, post injury recovery, dancers and athletes, and anyone whose body needs precision over intensity.

Gyrotonic

The first thing most people notice in a Gyrotonic session is the breathing. The movements spiral, the spine articulates a vertebra at a time, and the equipment moves with you instead of against you. The system was developed by Juliu Horvath out of yoga, dance, swimming, and tai chi. Gyrotonic instructors are licensed, not merely certified, and there aren’t many licensed studios per region. Both teachers here hold the full license.

Best for

Spine and joint mobility, chronic stiffness, dancers and swimmers, and bodies that respond better to flow than to isolation.

Why both, under one roof

In Buena Park, one instructor with a Stott Pilates license and a Gyrotonic license under the same name is uncommon. At One Pilates, every teacher on the schedule holds both. That’s what lets us start where your body already is, and choose the method that fits the day.

Our Teachers

Two licensed teachers.
One studio.

A small teaching team means continuity. The same two instructors learn how your body reads from week to week, and they share both licenses, so the schedule stays consistent no matter which teacher is on the floor.

Step inside

A small room,
a careful pace.

No rush, no fluorescent gym energy. Reformers in a row, the Cadillac, the Gyrotonic tower, and quiet enough that you can hear your own breath. This is the room.

For your body and for your mind.
